Food For Thought, is hosting a Meet the Buyer event in Cheltenham on 19th September.
Food For Thought, is hosting a Meet the Buyer event in Cheltenham on 19th September, giving local businesses the chance to gain invaluable insights in to what buyers are looking for when selecting local suppliers, helping them to thrive, not just survive.
Food for Thought, a new countywide community interest company (CIC), is calling all local food and drink producers, suppliers, farmers and hospitality businesses, and encouraging them to attend the event to connect with buyers from Your Coop Food part of the Midcounties Coop, Creed Foodservice, Freemans Event Partners and Gloucester Services. Those attending will discover firsthand what the industry experts look for when selecting new local suppliers, and learn how to position products to meet their criteria and stand out in a competitive market.
Working in partnership with Made in Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire County Council, and the Growth Hub network, Food for Thought is made up of local business owners, organisations, and experts who are working together to build a vibrant and engaged community that champions positive trade and a sustainable and circular economy for local businesses. All event tickets are subsidised thanks to the support from Food For Thought’s partners and all events will be held at food and drink related businesses, which means 100% of the tickets revenue will be invested back into the local economy
Gloucestershire is home to hundreds of food and drink businesses, ranging from innovative start-ups to renowned global brands dedicated to providing the best. The county is a vibrant blend of cutting-edge trends and a rich rural heritage, making it a unique and special place that should be celebrated and experienced throughout the country, not only in and around the local area.
Dev Chakraborty, Head of Growth & Enterprise Team, Gloucestershire County Council comments: “I’m super proud of our brands, The Growth Hub network and Made in Gloucestershire. Our Growth Hubs across the county have been serving the Gloucestershire business community for over 10 years now, supporting over 14,000 businesses and welcoming over 50,000 hub visitors. Our Made in Gloucestershire initiative celebrates all the amazing food and drink producers in the county….and there are plenty of them!! So, when Food for Thought came to us with the idea of supporting food and drink producers in the county with bespoke, informative events featuring high-profile speakers, it was an easy decision to become a partner.”
“I’m really looking forward to our first ‘Meet the Buyer’ event in September where businesses will be able to hear from industry experts and gain valuable insight into the buying process.”
